This position is at the L10 level with an hourly pay range of $45.01 to $60.12

Reporting to the Director, Projects, Director and Executive Direcctor of Nursing.Projects provides a full-range of confidential support services for corporate projects, which help build robust and sustainable systems that support and advance care at Yukon hospital facilities (and support other strategic initiatives including redevelopment and facility expansion). This includes leading the implementation and clinical mental health directon for the Mental Wellness Unit project plans within appropriate individuals or working groups to ensure the coordination project activities are accomplished on time, while supporting the organization\'s objectives. This role ensures the success of corporate projects by coordinating the clinical workflow for assigned projects; working closely with the department/divisions to meet the project milestones; completing related planning, operational and clinical support activities.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Broad knowledge of hospital operations and health disciplines, including a high level understanding of system interdependencies;
  • Excellent time and organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize, problem solve, and make decisions both collaboratively and independently;
  • Good knowledge of research skills coupled with an ability to validate information and facts;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and conflict resolution skills;
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, pay attention to detail, exercise good judgement and maintain discretion/confidentiality;
  • Working knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures which have an impact on the successful completion of construction projects;
  • Good knowledge of project management processes and techniques;
  • Good working knowledge of construction site safety requirements;
  • Good knowledge of purchasing principles, practices and methods;
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications;
  • Ability to prepare a number of materials, including agendas and minutes in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare comprehensive reports and related correspondence;
  • Cross cultural awareness and sensitivity.
The successful candidate is required to have a degree, diploma or certificate in a clinical or health-related field along with four (4) years\' of work experience preferably in a hospital or health services environment; An equivalent combination education, training and/or experience may be considered and Valid Class 5 Driver\'s License. Desirables, Experience in a project-related role such as a lead or coordinator; Experience with procurement and/or contract management, including coordinating RFPs/tenders for large capital items over $50,000; introductory level project management training; Training and/or experience working with Meditech.
