Job Description


Exciting new opportunity for a Manufacturing client who is setting up their production facility. Chance to take control of the project and put your own professional touch on the facility. -Work with team leads and operators in conducting time study and analyze data to initiate cycle time reductions.

  • Document existing processes by creating P&IDs, process flow charts and recording process parameters.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes, propose alternate efficient processes and drive implementation of solutions.
  • Develop flow charts and plant layouts to spell out raw material and finished goods flows, estimate work-in-process inventories, and allocate appropriate storage solutions to efficiently utilize available space.
  • Write scope of work documents, request for proposals and other technical documentation to clearly instruct contractors and equipment vendors during capital equipment purchases and installations.
  • Define maintenance program to enhance key plant equipment\xe2\x80\x99s throughput.
  • Manage fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • Research new equipment and service providers, evaluate their suitability, and qualify them for use during plant shutdowns and for preventive maintenance.
  • Recommend list of spare parts, maintain inventory and assist with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Support manufacturing by providing assembly instructions and training. Lead the cassette assembly function and ensure appropriate training is provided to shop floor workers.
  • Assist with product validation by running accelerated testing machines and collecting data.
  • Design manufacturing fixtures and other devices using Solidworks.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • Degree in mechanical engineering or
  • Diploma in mechanical engineering technology
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • 3-4 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, and automated machinery
  • Experience working with factory layouts and process mapping is a definite asset
  • Ability to use CAD systems to design and develop mechanical components
  • Excellent attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits:
