Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

Mathematics and English up to Grade 12

and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This contract role requires availability on

weekdays (Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM) and weekends (Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students. Support students with homework, test preparation, and skill development in

Mathematics and English (Grades 1-12)

. Create engaging lesson plans and use teaching strategies that suit different learning styles. Monitor student progress and adjust approaches to ensure comprehension and retention. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and participation. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress. Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.

Qualifications

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) required.

1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (preferred). Strong knowledge of the

Ontario curriculum for Math and English (Grades 6-12)

. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively. Experience working with youth in educational settings is an asset. Comfort using technology for online tutoring sessions. Passionate about education and supporting student success.

Work Location:

Hybrid remote (in-person tutoring in Brampton, ON L7A 0G2)

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

Must reliably commute to Brampton or plan to relocate before starting work
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 12 per week
