Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English instructor to join our Reading & Writing Program team. Availability after school hours (3:30 PM - 8:00 PM) on Tuesday to Friday, and Sunday afternoon are strongly preferred.

Our learning center provides high-quality academic enrichment and tutoring for students in elementary and secondary school, focusing on reading comprehension, writing skills, and test preparation.

Responsibilities:

Teach English reading and writing to high school level students Deliver engaging lessons that build vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, and essay writing skills Prepare students for standardized tests such as

SAT

and

SSAT

(experience preferred) Provide detailed feedback to support student growth and confidence. Communicate regularly with parents and the academic team

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field (required). Graduates only -- current undergraduate students will not be considered. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Strong academic writing and communication skills. Teaching or tutoring experience with high school students preferred. Familiarity with SAT, AP or IB curriculum is an asset. Relevant certificates (TESOL, CELTA, BC Teacher Certification, etc.) are a plus.

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
