Overview

Atlas Learning Zone is seeking a

passionate and dedicated Tutor

to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

Math, Science, and English

, and a genuine commitment to helping students reach their academic potential. You will work with students across various grade levels (up to Grade 12), offering tailored instruction in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

Provide

one-on-one or small group tutoring

sessions for students (Grades 1-12). Support students with

homework, test preparation, and foundational skill building

. Create engaging, customized lesson plans based on the

Ontario curriculum

. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods for maximum understanding. Foster a

positive and motivating environment

that builds student confidence. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student performance. Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic progress.

Qualifications

Minimum

1 year of tutoring or teaching experience

(preferred). Strong knowledge of

Ontario curriculum

(Math, Science, and English up to Grade 12). Excellent

communication and interpersonal skills

. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently. Experience working with youth in academic or mentoring settings (asset). Comfortable using

online tools and technology

for hybrid or remote sessions. Passionate about education and empowering student success.

Pay:

CA$18.00 - CA$20.00 per hour

Location:

Mississauga, ON L5W 1L9 (Hybrid - in person and remote)

Commute/Relocation:

Must reliably commute to 730 Courtneypark Dr W, Mississauga, ON L5W 1L9

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 6 per week
