We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our agricultural team for 18 months while regular employee is on maternity leave may turn into full time position.The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the farm. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to learn about various farming practices. The Farm Hand will work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth functioning of farm activities.

Duties

- Milk cows morning and afternoon

- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors and other heavy equipment.

- Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various farming tasks.

- Engage in heavy lifting as required for transporting materials or products around the farm.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment storage.

- Monitor cows health and treat as needed.

Skills

- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and farm equipment is not required but is valuable

- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain farm machinery effectively.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.

- Familiarity with dairy cows and milking would be a asset

- Basic math skills for measuring land areas, calculating quantities, or managing resources.

- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely in a farm setting.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in agriculture while contributing to the success of our farming ooperations.As well as flexibility with a 4 on 4 off shift with salary paid bi-monthly with hourly rate after 10hrs and health insurance after 3 months.
