Position Overview: Reporting to the Senior VP, Retail, the Marketing Director is responsible for leading the marketing activities for three divisions (Retail, Residential and Commercial) at MacEwen Petroleum Inc. This position requires tight interaction with the Marketing Coordinator and Digital Marketing Coordinator, and the role is ultimately responsible for driving sales, customer loyalty and building brand awareness through high quality and consistent marketing. Responsibilities: Plans, implements, and oversees the Retail monthly marketing program. This includes promotional marketing, in-store signing and advertising campaigns, the Company\xe2\x80\x99s online presence, including websites, social media, and online advertising. The Marketing Director has strategic responsibility for overseeing brand standards to ensure consistent high-quality messaging. The successful candidate will be ROI focused, always looking to add value through effective marketing programs. Brand Management:
  • Manages brand standards across a portfolio of brands to ensure consistency throughout all aspects.
  • Works with 3rd parties to outsource services such as design, printing, photography and translation.
Marketing:
  • Works with the various divisions to create seasonal campaigns and calendars.
  • Works with the leadership team within each business unit to implement their marketing and advertising campaigns that support growth objectives.
  • Prepares digital marketing strategies over various social platforms \xe2\x80\x93 Meta (Facebook Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Tracks results and adjusts marketing tactics alongside Category and Territory Managers
  • Oversees the work of the Marketing Coordinator and Digital Marketing Coordinator, providing timely and constructive guidance, feedback and direction.
  • Analyzes the results of marketing activities to drive sales and brand awareness, constantly adjusting to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Communications:
  • Oversees communication and marketing contracts and standards with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Writes internal communications, co-ordinates newsletter and press releases when required.
  • Oversees the communication strategy with regard to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s web sites and social media pages.
Customer Focus:
  • Serves as the voice of the customer within the management team.
  • Represents customer data and analytics in strategy and business decisions.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Advertising and/or Communications.
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 marketing experience with a large, diverse organisation.
  • Previous experience managing a small team.
  • Previous experience managing and outsourcing marketing materials to 3rd parties.
  • Retail marketing experience is desirable.
  • Ability to professionally juggle multiple projects, bringing them to successful and timely conclusion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to forecast and identify trends and create contingency plans.
