We\'re searching for a motivated team player with outstanding business skills to be the next director of sales and marketing at our busy hotel. You\'ll be in charge of developing a revenue management strategy to maximize profitability for everyday sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. This dynamic leader is the voice of our brand and manages the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets. Responsibilities:

  • Utilize marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, and other techniques to continuously seek new business
  • Assess the company\'s success by consulting with sales managers and stakeholders
  • Evaluate market trends to determine pricing to balance costs, competition, and supply and demand
  • Build customer loyalty while generating new revenue by developing long-term relationships
  • Recruit, train, and develop your team to serve your customers better
  • Monitor and track results of all campaigns including cost/benefit analysis
  • Development, implementation, and use of business intelligence tools to improve business knowledge
  • Work directly with clients, team members, and senior leadership to develop an analytics strategy
  • Guide the development of key processes by supporting, prioritizing, defining, and gathering needs for cross-functional projects; convert this data into business narratives for areas of development
  • Facilitate and perform consistent and reliable data collection, utilizing primary and secondary research methods; perform analysis for testing and targeting
  • Creation of post-campaign reporting and working with the design team to build engaging data visualization
  • Designing scripts for the team to use to help increase client engagement, interest, and sales.
  • Create promotional, print advertising, and point-of-sale material that increases our presence in the marketplace and enhances brand awareness
Qualifications:
  • Prior sales and marketing experience of 5+ years, including some in a sales management role, is required
  • Marketing expertise and knowledge of sales department best practices are needed for this position
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing or hospitality is preferred
  • Computer skills are needed for this position, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Curious, self-starter, works independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations and differing levels of people
  • Deep knowledge of digital, social, and mobile marketing principles within the context of broader mass communications
  • Experience in using analytics to effectively drive digital strategy and business transformation
  • A strategic and analytical approach to your work; thoughtful, goal-oriented
  • Experience in designing, documenting, and launching new programs that meet the needs of the end-user and provide value
