Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager in the development of brand and promotional initiatives that support business strategies to increase brand awareness, readership, sales and profitability of the MIRA and HQN businesses in North America. The Marketing Coordinator is directly responsible for the execution of initiatives, promotional plans, and partnerships to increase awareness, develop audiences to drive sales to meet the division's strategic and financial objectives. You will help see a book campaign through its entire life, from early stage (reading manuscripts and brainstorming marketing plans that include galley strategy, promotional material, online engagement, and advertising), right through to development and execution. Responsibilities : Team Communications: (30%)

  • Improve communication and planning between Marketing, Editorial and Publicity to drive sales & author/agent satisfaction
  • Model the guiding behaviors and contribute to an engaged & high performing culture
Marketing Strategy & Execution: (50%)
  • Maintain effective workflow and prioritize tasks, including:
  • Online Resource catalogue maintenance (Edelweiss)
  • In-book ad creation
  • Daily meetings, emails, and market research as needed
  • Inputting marketing plans, work-back schedules
  • Acting as a department liaison materials for sales presentations/conferences and retail opportunities including coordinating quantities and distribution.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager in marketing plan development and ensure on-time development, presentation, communication and execution of plans as per seasonal work-back schedule, including:
  • Advertising and cross promotion plans
  • Setting goals and targets
  • Managing budgets
  • Producing marketing materials (ie. Social assets, e-cards, bulletins, marketing decks, ad hoc items)
  • Liaising with colleagues, authors and agents
Digital: (20%)
  • Includes content strategy, analytics, platform trends, digital advertising and BookClubbish social media posts as it relates to business development
  • Continued development of metadata opportunities to increase searchability in the digital space
  • Assist management of digital sales to achieve budget including promotion planning and backlist Qualifications:
Specific training or job experience required includes:
  • 2
  • years of publishing or marketing experience, with a strong background in digital and social media marketing and proven ability to establish and measure against campaign KPI's
  • Enthusiastic team player with exceptional creativity, problem solving, decision-making and presentation skills
  • Calm under pressure, with the ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Strong relationship management experience
  • Results oriented with strong eye to detail
