About Our Opportunity: We are looking for a Marketing Specialist who will be responsible to position and market our products in the Cell and Gene Therapy market. The Marketing Specialist will work within an inspired and dynamic team across all functions at Northern RNA, including Business Development, Research and Development, Finance, etc. Key Responsibilities 1. Plan, implement and manage targeted marketing strategies and tactics to create awareness for the company and its products. 2. Develop content to support our marketing strategies, develop SEO/SEM initiatives (Google Ads and other Search Engine Marketing tools) and implement content marketing strategies to build brand awareness and support product sales. 3. Monitor marketing strategies performance, evaluate effectiveness, quantify ROI, and continuously optimize. 4. Ensure a competent and professional image to clients and stakeholders and an accurate portrayal of business strategies on the web, on social media, on the phone, by email and at events. 5. Maintain a working knowledge of all Northern RNA products including Plasmid DNA, mRNA, mRNA cap analogs, lipids, modified nucleosides, phosphoramidites, etc. Qualifications and Skills Formal Education: \xc2\xb7 A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant discipline \xc2\xb7 Ph.D. or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferable Work Experience: \xc2\xb7 At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in marketing, content development, advertising, public relations \xc2\xb7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills \xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate long-term relationship with customers and stakeholders \xc2\xb7 Organization and time management skills \xc2\xb7 A combination of education and experience can be considered Knowledge and Skills: \xc2\xb7 Strong written and oral communication skills \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and flexibility \xc2\xb7 Experience with planning and leading marketing initiatives \xc2\xb7 Capable of multi-tasking, working both independently and within a team environment \xc2\xb7 Good organization skills, time management, and ability to prioritize \xc2\xb7 Self-driven, able to think critically and make decisions \xc2\xb7 Communicate with multiple and diverse stakeholder groups \xc2\xb7 Engage, work with and influence stakeholders \xc2\xb7 Effective presentation \xe2\x80\x93 both formal and informal \xc2\xb7 Flexibility to switch focuses based on priorities while quickly learning new subject matter \xc2\xb7 Experience with digital marketing including Google Analytics \xc2\xb7 Able to provide marketing campaign examples that illustrate knowledge of planning goals, objectives, budget, tactics, and ROI. Working conditions:

  • Physical environment: Primarily in an office environment. Sitting for long periods of time and inside office room. Regular use of computer equipment. Will be expected to travel as needed to client sites and company locations, both locally, across Canada and internationally. Periodic weekend or evening work may occur.
  • Physical effort: Visually demanding using computer monitors, sitting for long periods of time.
  • Sensory Attention: Regularly needs to read/interpret written materials and interpret data requiring a high degree of concentration and accuracy.
  • Mental Pressures: Considerable pressure due to deadlines and Marketing targets.
