The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership exists to promote economic growth in Sarnia-Lambton.

We are a private/public sector, community-based partnership that works to continually increase the economic activity in the County of Lambton through the provision of economic development services. At the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, we help the local economy grow by promoting the distinct advantages that Sarnia-Lambton proudly offers companies and residents. Position Overview

We are looking for a leader to take our branding, marketing, and communication to a higher level through the lens of economic development. We aspire to be a world class and leading economic development organization when it comes to marketing and communications. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Marketing and Communications Manager plays an exciting and innovative role that is instrumental in the development, coordination, and delivery of marketing and communications initiatives that reach local, national, and global audiences. The objectives of the role are to market the local economy by raising awareness of our work, highlighting opportunities in the region, and attracting new investments and residents.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Facilitate community and economic development awareness and promotion through the development, maintenance and implementation of an annual Strategic Marketing Plan;
  • Assist in the preparation of the budget for communications and marketing;
  • Undertake marketing and promotional strategies and tactics to meet the goals and objectives of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership Strategic Plan;
  • Creative content development, integrated across multiple platforms, engagement, and distribution;
  • Increase our presence - let the world know about the exciting things happening in Sarnia-Lambton;
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of various communications documents (media releases, articles, activity reports, presentations), digital media marketing channels (website, social media), and promotional and advertising platforms (programmatic marketing, digital and print materials);
  • Create, develop, and implement branding, marketing materials and targeted campaigns.
  • Leading projects with external partners and content creators to develop and create marketing materials and resources;
  • Gathering and interpreting digital marketing data by actively monitoring media activity to build engagement, track and evaluate results;
  • Manage the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership\'s organization websites, including content management and SEO;
  • Developing and maintaining distribution lists for marketing and communications outreach and integrate with CRM;
  • Work in collaboration with external partners to promote regional initiatives, as required;
  • Maintain regular communication with and work collaboratively with colleagues and project team members;
  • Establish relationships, communication processes and distribution channels with community and industry organizations and relevant media;
  • Represent the organization with professionalism and accountability;
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Economic Development or a related field;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience;
  • Experience working in a fast-paced marketing and results-oriented environment, with a solid understanding of marketing plans and implementation, advertising, and social media;
  • Proven experience with project coordination and management
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet competing deadlines;
  • Leadership skills and a proactive ability to identify marketing opportunities and create engaging print/digital content for our targeted audiences;
  • Skilled at distributing content to effectively create awareness of our organization, our work and the community we serve;
  • An ability to measure the tangible and intangible effects of various communications;
  • Well-developed interpersonal, customer service, and communication (oral and written) skills to interact effectively with team members, target audiences, and the public;
  • Proficient computer skills with a demonstrated knowledge of Google & social analytics, Adobe, Creative Content and Design, and CRM experience;
  • Knowledge of website design and optimization and an ability to lead a web support team for special projects.;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in internet marketing techniques, technologies and solutions (CPC, SEO, SEM, Email Marketing and other digital marketing initiatives);
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to handle confidential and sensitive material;
  • Interest in attaining an Ec.D. Designation;
  • A valid Ontario driver\'s license and use of a vehicle.
