The purpose of this position is to provide support and coordination to activities that are directly assigned by the Metals Operations Manager. The successful candidate will facilitate the execution of initiatives related to, but not limited to: Communications, Process Improvement, Analytics, and Production Developments. This is a co-op role focused on learning through hands on experience.

A Day in the Life

• Assist inventory management team with materials counts, logging information and organizing materials
• Assist the management and safety team to update the shop safety boards, gather documentation, shop safety inspections, etc.
• Assist with maintaining 5S standards in shop by completing audits and making recommendations for improvement
• Assist with other miscellaneous shop and office items as needed
• Scan Packing Slips and put into designated drive
• Gather packing slips from Foreman, check Work Orders on ShopLink and PDF drawings and verify all is complete

What We Are Seeking

• Enrollment in a post secondary institution, with focus in Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Management
• Ability to manage stress and maintain positive attitude
• Good understand of MS Office Package (Excel is a must)
• Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment W

• Have strong organization & structure skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and critical thinking
• Willingness to learn
