What is the opportunity: Reporting to the Manager, Communications, the Communications Administrator Co-op intern will be part of the communications team supporting daily work and ongoing projects. Working closely with the fast-paced communications team, the administrator will be responsible for assisting the team with executing various project initiatives that will provide valuable, real-world experience in the energy industry. What will you do:
- Event planning and logistics support
- Help produce organization\xe2\x80\x99s marketing and communications material
- Curate social media content and assets for organization\xe2\x80\x99s channels
- Liase with various vendors to develop and produce material
- Ensure branding and style compliance
- Other duties as required
What you need to succeed:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism and enrolled in a co-op or internship program
- Strong writing and editing abilities; exemplary organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple requests while maintaining high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Adobe Creative Suite
- General knowledge of all social media platforms
- Ambitious, high energy and enjoys the challenge of working in a deadline-driven environment
- Basic graphic design and formatting capabilities considered an asset
