In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible for the development of Babcock\'s overall recruitment strategy with an innovative and foreword-thinking approach
  • Complete internal and external reporting requirements as needed
  • Use your knowledge of planning, labour forecasting and/or help plan and support bids as needed
  • Incorporate inclusive practices into all aspects of talent acquisition
  • Coach and manage a Talent Acquisition team of three to four members
  • Coach and advise hiring managers throughout the hiring process
  • Manage the co-op program and seek out avenues to grow the program
  • Prioritize client\'s requirements in a high volume, time sensitive environment to meet deadlines
  • Screen and identify qualified candidates through Success Factors, LinkedIn, referrals, job fairs, networking, and direct sourcing
  • Ensure selection processes comply with statutory and legislative requirements in locations in which Babcock Canada operates
  • Be responsible for full cycle recruiting
  • Coordinate reference checks, educational verifications and criminal checks with security and background 3rd party vendors
  • Create offer letters and negotiate compensation with applicants
  • Coordinate start dates with hiring managers and applicants
  • Liaise with external recruitment agencies as required
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on all candidates and selection processes
  • Support other tasks and initiatives as required
The ideal candidate brings:
  • A minimum of 8 years\' experience in recruitment or HR with a focus on recruitment
Experience working with global mobility would be an asset but not required

A post- secondary education in Human Resources or a related field

CHRP/CPHR or Recruitment (Registered Professional Recruiter) designation would be considered an asset

Demonstrated experience using Success Factors, LinkedIn and/or related tools for sourcing candidates is an asset

A drive for results and a clear vision on what strategic talent acquisition is expected to be

An individual who easily manages projects, collaborates and works in a team

Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full seriese of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
