In support of this, we are actively seeking a Manager, Talent Acquisition to drive our talent strategy, supporting full-cycle recruitment through inspirational leadership, innovative sourcing practices, continuous improvement initiatives and industry best practices.
Providing direction to a dedicated team of recruitment professionals, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will establish and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and senior leadership across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Talent Management, they will have oversight of a sizable client portfolio comprised of corporate services and operations.

The Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead the day-to-day recruitment and selection functions ensuring adherence to salary administration practices, employment laws, as well as a seamless and efficient hiring experience. They will also ensure compliance with established TTC policies, procedures, and related legislation. Acting as a trusted advisor, they will provide exceptional support and consulting services to clients on all talent acquisition matters.

The duties of this role will include but are not limited to the below: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our talent strategy and the TTC Corporate Plan, emphasizing the critical role Talent Management plays in driving organizational success.
Lead and support a team of professionals in talent acquisition and administrative roles, offering coaching and mentorship to foster their professional development.
Ensure a strong focus on communication and client relationships, emphasizing a customer-centric, business partner approach with all hiring managers and stakeholders.
Monitor schedules and workloads to ensure adequate staffing and balanced distribution of responsibilities, delivering effective services within the assigned portfolios.
Ensure team members clearly understand their roles, prioritize deliverables, and receive training, supervision, coaching, and motivation to succeed.
Assess team performance, providing guidance on employee development, disciplinary actions, attendance issues, and other related matters.
Provide timely resolution to client inquiries, including concerns and/or issues, offering accurate information and appropriate solutions.
Manage sensitive enquiries or complaints from applicants/current employees related to recruitment and selection activities.
Evaluate current practices and processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Manage the preparation of employment contracts, including special terms and conditions, and coordinate with Compensation, Legal, Benefit Services, Pensions, and Policy Development staff for unique situations.
Assist in the development of annual budgets, goals and objectives and work plans.
Manage the preparation of RFPs for Talent Management services and monitor budgets for compliance with purchase order limits.
Promote professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to stay updated on industry trends.
Adhere to all corporate and departmental policies and practices.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERTISE

Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a dedicated focus on the client and candidate experience.
Expertise leading a sizable team of talent professionals.
Excellent written and oral communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on verbal reasoning and issue resolution.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a large, dynamic environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to create connections and gain trust.
Knowledge of recruitment methods and principles, industry trends and best practices.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR technology.
Solid understanding of current legislation (Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Pay Equity Act, etc.).
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (Human Resources, Business Administration) with several years of progressively responsible experience in talent acquisition; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
Experience in public sector and/or a unionized environment would be an asset.
Certified Human Resources Professional designation would be an asset.
