POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Manager of Talent Acquisition you will play a key leadership role in driving strategic recruitment efforts across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director, People Services, you will manage a team of skilled recruiters and partner with stakeholders across departments to create innovative, inclusive, and impactful recruitment strategies that meet the evolving needs of the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to integrating new employees, and ensuring that Lakeridge Health continues to attract and retain exceptional individuals who are dedicated to outstanding healthcare. Your efforts will directly contribute to our mission of building an integrated and patient-focused healthcare system.
As part of your leadership role, you will also drive Lakeridge Health's initiative to become a Workplace of Choice, championing employee engagement and retention strategies that enhance our organizational culture. You'll play a lead role in the successful implementation of a new HRIS and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), modernizing our recruitment and HR processes, and improving overall efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Talent Acquisition Strategy and Implementation
o Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy that aligns with the hospital's goals, values, and workforce needs.
o Utilizing data-driven recruitment methods to find and engage the right candidates.
o Expanding talent pipelines through networking, social media, employee referrals, and strategic partnerships.
o Incorporating AI and automation into recruitment to streamline hiring processes.
o Participate in career fairs, developing connections with external agencies and sources of potential candidates.
o Lead and manage a team of recruiters, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive individual and team performance.
o Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to integrating new employees, ensuring a positive and seamless candidate experience.
o Evaluate opportunities to upskill leaders at LH on recruitment best practices.
o Strategic Talent Forecasting
o Collaborate with Strategic HR Business Partners, hiring managers and department leaders to access current and future staffing needs aligned with organizational goals.
o Provide workforce planning guidance through the coordination and analysis of data-driven insights.
o Identify skills gaps and collaborate on proactive recruitment and internal development strategies to build future-ready teams.
o Stay informed on government programs and workforce incentives that can support talent strategies across the organization.
o Employee Value Proposition (EVP) & Employer Branding
o Developing a compelling EVP that highlights company culture, benefits, growth opportunities, and work-life balance.
o Work closely with colleagues in Communications to develop an innovative employer branding strategy and promote Lakeridge Health as a workplace of choice.
o Showcasing real employee experiences through testimonials, videos, and workplace culture content.
o Enhancing presence on job review platforms to strengthen employer reputation.
o HR Technology and Data-Driven Talent Strategy
o Play a lead role in the future implementation of a new HRIS and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring smooth integration with current processes and improving recruitment efficiencies and the overall candidate experience
o Utilize data and analytics to track, measure, and continuously improve recruitment and retention metrics, providing insights to leaders on strategies to retain staff.
o Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives, Compliance and Labour Relations
o Build and maintain an inclusive and diverse recruitment strategy that ensures a broad and equitable talent pool.
o Ensuring an inclusive hiring process that promotes equal opportunities.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment and labour legislation to ensure the hospital recruitment processes are compliant, and review, assess and evaluate the impact of changes to collective agreements
QUALIFICATIONS:
" Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or related experience
" Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, preferably in healthcare or within a public sector unionized environment
" Minimum 5 years of leadership experience and ability to drive performance, inspire, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters
" Extensive knowledge of employment-related legislation including the Human Rights Code, Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Employment Standards Act
" Experience developing and implementing health human resources recruitment and retention strategies that align with organizational goals and values
" Experience building and executing inclusive recruitment strategies that promote diversity, accessibility and equity
" Proven ability to develop a successful marketing plan to recruit hospital employees, especially for areas that traditionally are difficult to recruit for
" Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and leverage recruitment metrics for continuous improvement
" Experience in leading or supporting the implementation of an HRIS and ATS is an asset
" Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to respectfully and tactfully interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
" Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach, build strong collaborative relationships, influence key stakeholders, and gain consensus to achieve goals
" A strategic thinker who is comfortable making data-informed decisions and advising senior leadership.
" Highly self-directed and solution-oriented with a high sense of urgency to deliver results and meet deadlines
" Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
