Lead our client's supply chain operations, ensuring efficient manufacturing, supplier management, and product delivery. You'll optimize processes, manage international logistics, and support new product launches in a fast-paced IVD environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, overseeing production logistics, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality diagnostic products to our global laboratory partners. This role requires a strong understanding of cross-border and international logistics. In addition to supporting day-to-day operational activities, the Manager, Supply Chain will play a pivotal role in the development and introduction of new products and processes, contributing to the company's growth and product expansion strategies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has experience in supply chain management within the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) or medical device industry.ROLES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Develop and manage the supply chain to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure supply chain continuity, including contingency plans for supplier disruptions, shipping challenges, and inventory shortages.
  • Oversee relationships with contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) and suppliers to ensure materials and products company compliance with international shipping regulations, including Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
  • Ensure customer order fulfillment by managing order confirmations and preparing required shipping and compliance documentation for cross-border logistics for medical and diagnostic products.
  • Manage production planning at CDMOs, ensuring customer order fulfillment, and coordinate with QA to resolve product quality issues.
  • Manage cold chain logistics for temperature-sensitive materials, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining product quality throughout transportation and storage.
  • Oversee raw material and product inventory at CDMOs, including placing purchase orders with suppliers and CDMOs, and establishing safety stock levels and minimum order quantities.
  • Administration of the relevant modules within the ERP and Inventory Management Software to maintain accurate inventory levels, monitor supply chain performance, and streamline operations.
  • Monitor lab reagent and supply levels, manage receiving of materials, and ensure seamless integration of inventory data with supply chain systems.
  • Capture and monitor production costs to derive accurate product costing and prepare quarterly inventory cost reports for Finance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Manufacturing and Product Development to identify cost-saving initiatives, address process bottlenecks, and implement timely solutions.
  • Lead monthly and annual product forecasting in partnership with Manufacturing and in consultation with the VP of Commercial Operations.
  • Provide project management support for internal and external projects, including tech transfer to contract manufacturers and laboratory partners.
  • Perform additional duties, such as following up on late payments, managing invoicing, and assisting with sales reporting for management review.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Diploma or B.Sc. Degree in Life Sciences, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, manufacturing, or managing external contractors/partners, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in supply chain management within the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) or medical device industry.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 14971 in supply chain operations.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage projects to completion within established timelines and budgets, while balancing multiple priorities.Hands-on experience with inventory management, maintaining databases, and advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion within a broad range of policies and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, using industry accepted methodologies, concepts and tools to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways as they apply to manufacturing and supply chain.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and implementing new methodologies and processes.
  • Superior computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat or equivalent); aptitude and desire to learn new computer applications.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, and a high degree of attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines
