Summary:
The Project Manager for Supply Chain Optimization is responsible for driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of supply chain processes. This role focuses on optimizing key supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution, to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational goals. This role is ideal for a results-oriented, proactive individual with a passion for optimizing supply chain processes and driving measurable improvements in business performance.Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to streamline and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency, and service improvement.
- Analyze current supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in procurement, production, warehousing, and distribution.
- Implement best practices in supply chain management, leveraging data analytics and forecasting tools to enhance decision-making.
- Manage multiple supply chain optimization projects, from planning and design through execution and post-implementation review.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. Coordinate resources, manage risks, and ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure supply chain initiatives meet the needs of all stakeholders. Work with external suppliers to optimize procurement processes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance supply chain operations, reduce lead times, and minimize waste. Use Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions.
- Prepare reports for senior management, presenting insights and recommendations for improving supply chain performance. Conduct in-depth data analysis to track and evaluate key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage supply chain resilience and sustainability efforts to ensure the company\'s supply chain is prepared for global challenges.Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in supply chain with a focus on optimization
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects, with PMP or similar certifications preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills, including database application skills
- Financial acumen coupled with strong critical thinking
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Evening and weekend work as required. Travel within the Ontario and Quebec provinces as required
