:Position SummaryReporting to the Director, Food & Beverage, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing the profitability of the front of house operations, creating an exceptional guest experience and maintaining the highest service standards while effectively managing costs. Equipped with a demonstrated track record in people management and a background in the hospitality industry, this individual will lead the front of house team to consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience and achieve a high level of guest satisfaction. This role ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor and manage financial performance and profitability to ensure adequate controls are in place for front of house areas of the restaurant
  • Liaise with back of house operations to determine business priorities and achieve financial targets for the restaurant
  • Recruit, coach, mentor and manage the performance of supervisors and team members to achieve service excellence while creating an engaging working environment
  • Achieve a high level guest satisfaction, and resolve guest enquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner
  • Identify areas of improvement to ensure attention to detail is achieved by the team and an exceptional guest dining experience is provided
  • Provide on-going motivation, coaching and effective leadership to team members and supervisors
  • Oversee and ensure general maintenance, organization and cleanliness of the front of house is maintained at all times
  • Monitor and manage costs by utilizing resources effectively and take appropriate action to address variances
  • Work collaboratively with the entire restaurant management team to ensure an exceptional guest experience
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to employees, including assigning work schedules and ensuring all mandatory training is completed
  • Manage employee performance to ensure Gordon Ramsay brand standards and service excellence are consistently achieved
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years\' experience in the hospitality industry with a minimum of 5 years in operations management.
  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or equivalent professional experience required;
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and mentor a team
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet multiple deadlines while maintaining high customer service levels and positive presentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to plan and organize a team effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy in MS Office required with financial analysis experience an asset
  • Able to obtain the required certification through the Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch
  • Strong working knowledge of Micros and Squirrel systems
Work Environment Considerations
  • Balance between kitchen and office environment. Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
