About the Role:
Diva International Inc. (\xe2\x80\x9cDiva\xe2\x80\x9d) is looking for a Manager of Social Impact & Sustainability. The Manager of Social Impact and Sustainability is responsible for the successful strategic management of the Social Impact and Sustainability program. The strategic direction for this program will be set by the Manager. The Manager is someone who will nurture a positive workplace culture and establish trust by representing and aligning with the core values at Diva.

The position will contribute to the following main objectives:

  • Provide strategic leadership for Diva\xe2\x80\x99s impact and sustainability work including: all granting programs, the B Corp Certification, the TerraCycle program, operations initiatives (example: sustainable packaging, scope 1 and 2 emissions etc.), sales initiatives, emerging issues, and inclusive culture building.
  • Develop best practices in programming to advance menstrual equity.
  • Source and manage strategic impact partners to effect change and raise public awareness about our 4 impact pillars.
  • Enhance the visibility of Diva\xe2\x80\x99s social impact and sustainability work and results achieved.
  • Enhance Diva\xe2\x80\x99s B Corp certification strategy and contribute to increasing the B Corp score each audit.
  • Strategize and lead Diva to have the best practices for the TerraCycle program.
  • Lead all departments across Diva in areas of Social Impact and Sustainability to improve our impact company wide.
  • Manage the Social Impact Coordinator position.
Responsibilities:

Partnership Development and Evaluation
  • Create, update, and maintain the eligibility requirements and application process for impact partners and/or the selection of impact partners annually
  • Manage the partnership application and selection process each year.
  • Evaluate partnership requests received based on alignment with Diva\xe2\x80\x99s mission and our 4 impact pillars.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and issues management with multiple partner organizations/agencies.
  • Draft and provide sign off on partnership agreements.
  • Manage assets received regarding donations (e.g., pictures, letters, videos, blog posts).
  • Collaborate with Communications on initiatives for partnerships, including creating content for social posts, coordinating press releases, writing blog posts etc.
  • Evaluate and improve program results by conducting follow up surveys or interviews with partner organizations.
DivaCup Donation Requests
  • Strategize and develop standards and processes for all DivaCup donations.
  • Support the Social Impact and Sustainability Coordinator with evaluating requests and ensuring donations align with our 4 impact pillars and Diva\xe2\x80\x99s mission.
  • Train other staff as appropriate to assist in the donation process.
  • Approve of all donation recommendations made by the coordinator.
  • Monitor the donation tracker (e.g., tracking of demo kits, printed materials, coupons, promotional materials, and monitoring of shipping costs, etc.).
  • Monitor the total number of DivaCups being donated.
  • Ensure any DivaCup Donation form closures are clearly communicated to our community.
  • Approve the SRF (shipping requests form) for all donations.
Other Program Management
  • Create the strategy, action plans and annual budget for all areas within the Social Impact and Sustainability program including our grant programs, B Corp certification, TerraCycle program, operations sustainability initiatives, and sales impact initiatives.
  • Manage the Social Impact and Sustainability annual budget to maintain financial performance and viability, ensure integrity and prudent use of resources.
  • Regularly check budget performance, including maintenance of Diva\xe2\x80\x99s 2% pledge, against financial reports, assist Finance department as needed.
  • Ensure the integrity of the Mission, Vision, Strategy and Purpose of the Social Impact and Sustainability program.
  • Responsible for the reputation management of the Social Impact and Sustainability program.
  • Report on and assess and mitigate risks, strategize, provide executive support, and ensure communication during crisis situations.
  • Strategize on and develop best practices for inclusive culture building in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Manage timelines, resources and deliverables of projects related to process improvements.
  • Set annual targets for all areas within Social Impact and Sustainability.
External Communications
  • Establish high quality standards for communications in English, French, and Spanish including gender-sensitive writing and gender-neutral language.
  • Lead the creation, production and dissemination of knowledge products, reports and impact stories relating to Diva\xe2\x80\x99s impact and sustainability work.
  • Be willing to be on camera and record content independently to support social channels and the dissemination of impact/sustainability related information.
  • Strategize and coordinate with both internal and external media teams on various aspects for social campaigns.
  • Lead the creation of an engaging Impact Report annually.
  • Lead the development of all content needed for the Ecommerce team to keep the website up to date and informative in regard to impact and sustainability.
Events and Media
  • Plan and organize internal and external activities and events in support of the Social Impact and Sustainability work.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with partner agencies and community groups.
  • Represent Social Impact and Sustainability as a spokesperson, presenter, and media presence at partner events.
Education & Experience:
  • Degree or Diploma in the field of Sociology, Business, Environmental Science, Communications, or disciplines related to Corporate Social Responsibility and non-profit program management.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing Corporate Social Responsibility programs, Community Engagement programs, and/or Stakeholder Engagement programs in a mid to large organization, especially complex multi-organizational coalitions, and networks.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing projects.
  • Experience managing 1 or more people or a small team.
  • Experience working with the strategic direction of a Corporate Social Responsibility program.
  • Experience setting, managing, and controlling budgets.
  • Experience working with consultants and partners, both locally and globally.
  • Experience working locally or abroad, working with or within an NGO, a leadership role in these experiences is an asset.
  • Experience with curriculum creation and educational programming is an asset.
  • Expertise writing proposals, grants, communications, plans, impact reports is an asset.
  • Experience working closely with a social media team, PR, and marketing teams.
  • Experience and/or comfort working in the menstrual health category.
This role can be 100% remote in Canada with a head office location in Kitchener, Ontario. Must be legally eligible for employment and reside in Canada.
