Under the general direction of the Director, Sustainability & Social Impact the role is responsible to execute and deliver the Spirit of Sustainability platform across the business, in alignment with LCBO\xe2\x80\x99s purpose and values, government mandate and future Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. The role is responsible for the leadership, execution, strategic planning and thinking, stakeholder management, impact evaluation and is ultimately accountable for the giving portfolio and management and execution of the Spirit of Inclusion Initiative.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong experience in social impact and giving, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and who has a keen attention to detail and experience in meeting multiple deadlines. You will be part of a small, but dynamic team while gaining experience and knowledge of the industry and public sector.

About this Role

Program Execution

  • Independently execute areas of the sustainability platform programs and initiatives aligned to set strategic priorities. This includes collaboration enterprise-wide and with Senior Managers, Directors and above.
  • Manage and grow the annual fundraising portfolio and its disbursement to 25 charity partners+. This includes multi-layer stakeholder management, governance oversight, legal agreements, policy development, CRA legislation alignment and fundraising best practices.
  • Manage relationship and scope of work with retained Charity lawyer as it applies to the fundraising & giving portfolio and work closely with Legal services.
  • Execute up to 10 (assigned) integrated charity fundraising campaigns including end-to-end project management exercising independent decision making. This includes managing the campaign creative, communications plan, external awareness plan and integration into seasonal and promotional periods.
  • Manage and grow The Spirit of Inclusion Initiative. This includes oversight of the whole program. Including, stakeholder management with 5 education institutions, trade association engagement, suppliers and partners. Manage the donation disbursement, monitoring and establishing bursary and scholarships, mentorship engagement and the internship program. Track recipients in the program and share results with senior leadership.
  • Manage and execute all bursary and scholarships established with Impact Partners. This includes, contract negotiations, donation disbursement, governance oversight, tracking and impact evaluation.
  • Manage the increased public awareness of the impact of the giving strategy. This includes developing and executing marketing and advertising campaigns. This includes in-store, online, publications and activations.
Stakeholder Management
  • Manage the relationship expectations of 25+ charitable partners.
  • Manage and uphold the successful relationship between LCBO and all third-party agencies, current and new charitable partners by problem solving any issues independently, using strong relationship building strategies, and setting clear deliverables and expectations.
Strategic Planning & Thinking
  • Create and continuously evolve the social impact & giving strategy. This includes, partnership framework, policy development, strategic planning, innovative thinking, and execution while ensuring alignment to the organizations DIBE and AODA strategy and strategic plan.
  • Proactively identifies and anticipates social impact & giving trends and the needs of charity partners.
Leadership
  • Provide mentorship, support, and development to employees engaged in the platform, project teams, all divisions, and recipients of SOII and other giving programs.
  • Ability to lead through example, providing direction, advice, and guidance to division teams, thus maintaining consistently high levels of quality, delivery and measurement, motivation and morale.
  • Visible leadership is paramount in the role and attendance at charity, fundraising events, conferences, awards gala, and employee events. This will include working outside of core hours (evenings and weekends) and at offsite locations, including occasional attendance outside of the GTA.
Impact Evaluation
  • Create and manage an impact evaluation strategy that monitors, tracks and showcases the impact of the giving portfolio. This includes presenting the results of donations in innovative ways internally and externally.
What will you bring to the team?
  • 6 years + experience in non-profit or foundation sector, social impact sector, sustainability, implementation of strategy, strategy development, client experience, project management, people management skills, charitable and fundraising experience.
  • Knowledge of the fundraising and foundation sector preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the fundraising management and ESG: Environmental, Social and Governance space.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in giving and employee engagement plans and how to implement in large organizations.
  • A responsible self-starter who is diplomatic, outgoing, has a strong work ethic and sound judgement.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and project-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple, often competing priorities with a positive attitude.
  • Independent self-starter.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Post-secondary Education in relevant field. University or College degree in a Sustainability, Political Science, Communications or Public Relations, Commerce or Certificate in Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Fundraising Management Certificate, Certificate in Non-Profit Management.
