Are you our new Manager, Communications \xe2\x80\x93 Inclusion and Social Impact?

Our team is growing and we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Manager, Communications \xe2\x80\x93 Inclusion and Social Impact. Working on the People and Culture team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a true strategic advisor and engage with teams across the organization to positively impact our organization. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be part of a collaborative, engaged team that actively shares leadership.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Culture and Internal Communications, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Create and support integrated communications plans and initiatives to bring our Leading Inclusively commitment to life through various campaigns and related tactics.
  • Recommend and implement innovative approaches to share the stories of our Leading Inclusively commitment and action, both internally and externally, working closely with local Marketing and P&C teams.
  • Team with and support our Senior Manager, Leadership Development & Inclusion in identifying sponsorship and learning opportunities to support achieving our Leading Inclusively priorities.
  • Lead communications for social impact, working collaboratively with our ESG working committee to continue weaving our messages into all communications to help us maintain and enhance our special culture.
  • Support work stemming from our ESG working committee, including any analysis, communications, project management requirements.
  • Drive communications that support our community efforts by creating and initiating communications plans for our Grant Thornton Foundation in support of helping our communities thrive.
  • Collaborate with our People Engagement Programs lead and Marketing teams to project manage communications for our Vibrant Communities initiative, which brings together a cross-section of community leaders and influencers to explore questions focused on the community\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability and prosperity.
  • Work with the communications team to embed our community engagement programs and outcomes into annual reports, as well as tap into storytelling to share our unique communities\xe2\x80\x99 narrative.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand our community impact.
  • Lead and assist in internal communications campaigns and/or integrated communications projects across the organization, as required

  • 5 + years communications, with a focus on social impact and/or equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging
  • Be compelled by and aligned with our Purpose of helping our Clients, Colleagues and Communities thrive
  • Have a successful record of creating and executing communication strategies that enable an organization\xe2\x80\x99s desired cultural and business outcomes
  • Be skilled at developing and building relationships with external organizations
  • Have certifications or continued learning related to equity, diversity, inclusion or social impact/ESG
  • Demonstrated experience reimagining and managing integrated communications plans
  • Ability to \xe2\x80\x9cdot connect\xe2\x80\x9d across the organization for strategic alignment
  • Enthusiastic about volunteering and making an impact within communities
  • A storyteller, with strong communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to think strategically, be creative, and take initiative
  • Skilled at building relationships and collaborating with others on large integrated projects
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and project management capabilities
You will achieve this by collaborating closely with our Associate Director, Culture and Internal Communications and our culture communications team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work with our trusted partner-vendors and with our Marketing team to ensure alignment of internal and external messaging. Finally, you\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate with our People and Culture team overall to help showcase and celebrate our culture.
