Job Summary
What the Role Is London Health Sciences Centre\xe2\x80\x99s Office of Inclusion and Social Accountability will advance our commitment and capacity to create an inclusive, equitable and safe environment for patients, care partners, staff, physicians, learners and volunteers. The Office is responsible for developing and implementing LHSC\xe2\x80\x99s strategy to promote health equity, inclusion, anti-racism, anti-oppression, diversity, accessibility and belonging \xe2\x80\x93 recognizing the need to combat racism and discrimination in all their forms. The team will build individual and organizational capacity so health equity, diversity, inclusion, and social accountability will be embedded in decisions, policies, and actions across our organization \xe2\x80\x93 from care to teaching to research \xe2\x80\x93 and so we will be held accountable to our Fundamental Commitments. One priority of the Office is to partner with Human Resources and leadership to increase diversity at all levels in the organization and ensure internal policies, practices and environments provide positive, safe and inclusive experiences for all those working, learning, or volunteering at LHSC. Advancing Indigenous Health is also a priority area of focus, in recognition of LHSC\xe2\x80\x99s obligation to understand, mitigate, and eliminate the harms perpetuated against Indigenous Peoples by a colonial health care system. A third priority for LHSC is to advance Black health, in recognition of discrimination, inequities, and barriers that exist within the healthcare system. Additional key priorities for the Office include accessibility and gender inclusion. The Office of Inclusion and Social Accountability will work directly with the President and CEO to ensure health equity, inclusion and social accountability is considered in all corporate and strategic initiatives, and that progress is measured in meaningful ways. Reporting into the Corporate Nursing Executive, the Executive Director will be responsible for developing and leading the Office of Inclusion and Social Accountability, and for identifying, planning and implementing organizational strategies to ensure the Office meets its mandate. They will oversee the work of senior directors and directors within the Office (e.g., Senior Director, Indigenous Health; Senior Director, Black Health), and the Office\xe2\x80\x99s budget, performance and reporting. The Executive Director will engage and collaborate with leaders across LHSC and ensure adequate resources and systems are in place as we hold ourselves accountable. A key function of this role will be to establish and strengthen key external relationships at local, regional, and provincial levels, to create and leverage synergies and propel LHSC forward in this important work. The Executive Director will role model and foster a healthy, safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment where others have meaningful opportunities to contribute, collaborate, and cooperate to achieve results. They will inspire and motivate the Office and the organization by aligning with LHSC\xe2\x80\x99s vision, purpose and values and by modelling performance and service excellence. The Executive Director will develop talent and will coach, mentor, support and challenge others to achieve professional and personal goals.

What You Will Bring with You
Successful completion of a recognized and relevant Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree is required
Minimum of 5 to 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 leadership experience, preferably in progressively more responsible leadership position(s), and preferably in the area of advancing health equity and inclusion
Membership in the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) with (or is in process of attaining) the Canadian Health Executive (CHE) Select certification is preferred
Fluent and computer literate with computer systems such as email and Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
