The Schools offer five graduate degree programs, four graduate certificate programs, one undergraduate degree program and one undergraduate diploma program.
The Manager of Programs, Hill and Levene Schools of Business is a dynamic, multidimensional position that is critical to the overall success of the academic programs offered at the Schools. We are looking for a strong team player who is student-focused with experience managing a team and administering higher education programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
What You'll Do:
Administration and management of the graduate and undergraduate programs • Oversee course scheduling and maintain a two-year rolling schedule to meet program requirements and student needs, ensuring accuracy and proper final exam scheduling.
Support Associate Deans in course offerings, instructor assignments, administering overload stipends and hiring sessional instructors.
• Manage the hiring process for teaching assistants, including posting, selection, and supervision of TAs.
• Facilitate academic program communication to students regarding important information and changes.
• Participate in program reviews to align offerings with strategic goals and disseminate relevant updates to staff and faculty.
• Analyze feedback and address issues identified through student surveys to improve student retention and support.
• Oversee the coordination of hiring and scheduling invigilators for exams as needed.
• Budget and monitor program-related expenses and update program information in handbooks and websites.
Strategic reporting • Lead on designing systems/reports for program-related statistics such as class sizes, overall program enrollments/size of classes, average time to completion, retention, etc. Once designed, oversee staff responsible for collating the data and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reported data.
Supervising staff • Supervise and allocate workload for three APT Academic Advisors, one APT Program Coordinator and three CUPE 5791 administrative programs support positions (scheduling information into DCU, administrative support to students and advisors);
• Two other CUPE 5791 administrative program support positions report to the APT Program Coordinator who reports to this position; and,
• Provide support and general ongoing supervision to invigilators and teaching assistants.

Position Requirements
What You'll Bring to this Position: • Relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration (a graduate degree is considered an asset).
• A minimum of three years in related experience, preferably in a university setting.
Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role: • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of both undergraduate and graduate university students as well as class structures and programs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences (e.g. instructors, Associate Deans, students).
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage positive relationships within Hill and Levene, the University and broader community.
• Demonstrated understanding and skill in completing basic statistical analysis, writing reports and giving presentations.
• Demonstrated understanding of how to effectively manage change and build/lead a team that works towards a common goal including identifying and creating efficiencies, managing workload, conflict resolution, team building and supporting continued professional development.
• Strong ability to multi-task, demonstrate flexibility and manage a broad portfolio of activities with acute attention to detail.
• Experience in managing the hiring process, supervising staff, and performance/conflict management.
• Demonstrated experience in course scheduling, databases, strategic reporting and budgeting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
• Knowledge of University of Regina policies, procedures and software (Banner, Caspur and DCU) is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of undergraduate and graduate business programs and trends in higher education in business is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative as required.
Physical Demands Pay Grade APT 5 Salary Range $69,655 - $94,007 Annually Status Term Work Hours
8:15am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
Some altered hours may be required at various points in a semester, with notice
