Were looking for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to transforming seniors' care.As the Manager of LTC Clinical Excellence and Program Education, you will report directly to the Program Director of Seniors Care and be responsible for leading and supporting initiatives that enhance clinical excellence and education in Long-Term Care. You will collaborate with residents, physicians, managers, staff, and leadership teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care.   • Lead and coordinate the interdisciplinary team, including Clinical Nurse Educators, to develop, implement, and evaluate practice strategies, standards, and education programs that promote excellence in clinical service and care delivery.
  • Establish and implement policies and standards that support the care model and ensure high-quality resident care, within a resident and family-centered approach.
  • Provide leadership and oversight in the development of training and education programs aimed at attracting, retaining, and developing qualified staff for Seniors Care services.
  • Manage specific projects related to education and clinical excellence, including overseeing human and financial resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Actively participate in the evaluation of care models and service redesign efforts, working to improve both clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with research bodies and stakeholders to explore research opportunities, supporting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Represent Seniors Care in internal and external committees and working groups, fostering collaboration and ensuring the integration of best practices in all aspects of care delivery.
What You BringEducation and Qualifications:
  • A Masters degree in a related healthcare field, with an undergraduate degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of recent, relevant experience in a leadership or advanced clinical role.
  • Proven experience in health informatics, quality improvement, and clinical documentation.
  • Current practicing registration with the relevant regulatory professional body

  • Knowledge and experience in adult education and program development.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting long-term care clients in all areas of service delivery and service delivery structures.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and develop staff in a rapidly changing environment.

Your Day to Day
  • Provide leadership to the Seniors Care program and staff for the development and implementation of practice changes.
  • Lead and coordinate a learning and development strategic plan for Seniors Care, ensuring the achievement of program priorities through education, quality initiatives, and care team training.
  • Coordinate the implementation of quality improvement activities based on the program's quality framework and standards of practice, addressing developments like managing challenging behaviors, falls initiatives, and communicable disease management.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with local, regional, provincial, and national programs and clinical service units to support quality of care.
  • Provide leadership in the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated models of care for Seniors Care.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with managers and staff to facilitate practice development and ensure consistency in care delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for service redesign, supporting the strategic direction of Seniors Care and PHC, and leading specific redesign or project activities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and PHC standards by developing, implementing, and reviewing program policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with post-secondary institutions to provide enhanced education and training opportunities for Seniors Care staff, including support for the employed student nurse (ESN) program.
  • Manage capital and operating budgets by developing and recommending plans for services within the program, and taking responsibility for implementation, managing, and corrective action where necessary
