Job Title Manager, Investment Data Management Operations



What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Investment Data Management Operations, will manage and oversee GAM's master data management business processes, by providing oversight to the resources performing these operational functions. You will manage an array of team members located in multiple jurisdictions, responsible for the operational processes of mastering and the maintenance of investment data that is key to GAM's technology applications and business processes.

What will you do?

Oversee Data Operations / Management business processes

Support and contribute to the direction of the GAM Data operations strategy and roadmap

Coordination of the Data Operations team members and their activities across all initiatives to ensure that the Data Operations deliverables with regard to timelines, quality, and productivity are being met.

Work across the organization to understand enterprise data needs, data requirements and usage, and ensure compliance with EDP and other relevant regulations.

Analyze the organization's data procedures and processes for inefficiencies and other factors that may affect complete and efficient data mastering, and suggest solutions for improvement

Acting as an operational subject matter expert on data operations principles and practices

Provide coaching, career development, and/or full accountability for performance management of staff

Works in collaboration with the Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Engineering teams to enforce data governance policy and standards across all processes in scope, both in current state and target models

Assist in the compilation of required audit and regulatory documentation, as appropriate

What do you need to succeed?
Must Have

7+ years progressive business experience, primarily in operational space

5+ years' progressive experience in a data management and/or data governance type function

Previous experience in the financial sector, particularly investment management or wealth management

Experience coaching, mentoring or managing staff

Strong self-awareness/interpersonal skills and networking capabilities with various internal audiences within the organization

Nice To Have

Experience working with business and/or technology stakeholders in an Enterprise environment

Excellent corporate communication skills

Relationship Building; Building Partnerships with Stakeholders

Client-focused and process-driven, ability to build loyalty and trust by proactively anticipating needs/resolving issues
