As a strategic thinker, this role will help lead and develop the marketing strategy for Questrade Financial Group\xe2\x80\x99s digital banking products and services.

What\xe2\x80\x99s it like working as a Manager, Insurance Marketing Strategy at Questrade?

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Banking Marketing Strategy, you will play a key role in translating Questrade\xe2\x80\x99s insurance product roadmaps and revenue goals into go-to-market and holistic marketing strategies. The Marketing Strategy team partners with our product teams and marketing specialists to design best-in-class marketing strategies that drive customer value and loyalty.

In this highly cross-functional and strategic role you will need to build relationships and manage partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including but not limited to our Product Management, Technology, Project Management, and various Marketing teams. You will work with these partners to design best-in-class marketing strategies that drive customer value and loyalty. Your work will help educate, engage, and empower our prospects and customers to understand our products, elevate the brand, and drive adoption and new customer demand.

  • Assist in the development of holistic marketing strategies to support the launch of insurance products supporting QFG\xe2\x80\x99s mission, vision, and values in all interactions, plans and activities.
  • Build strong knowledge around the insurance buying and claiming journeys, competitive landscape, industry flows and trends to develop and inform product positioning that builds awareness and drives consumer demand.
  • You will build strong partnership with the Product Teams and work in lock step on insights sharing, identifying key functionality of new products and features, value proposition frameworks and setting targets.
  • You will create competitive marketing strategies that identify, quantify and select which market segments should be targeted backed by market research and analytics including market segmentation, market trends, consumer and customer insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and executives across the organization to gain buy-in on the go-to-market strategies.
  • You will help monitor product performance along with market trends, partner feedback, customer needs, competitive information and market research, to determine the right feature set for each target market segment.
  • You will lead consumer research and perform gap analyses where necessary to identify marketing opportunities and threats and develop strategies to leverage or mitigate each respectively.
  • You will facilitate and develop a cross-functional annual marketing plan and budget against defined awareness and acquisition KPIs.

  • You have at least 7 years of relevant product marketing and/or marketing strategy experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and/or experience working in the insurance industry.
  • You have a Bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • You have a keen interest in or experience in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
  • You have a can-do attitude and are self-driven, results-oriented, with a clear focus on high quality deliverables and a history delivering results.
  • You have a solid understanding of how to build trust and influence cross-functional stakeholders across the organization and secure leadership buy-in, specifically when introducing new or optimized strategies
  • You have the ability to collaborate and listen. You value relationship building, are confident in asking others how to help clear roadblocks, and a genuine want to understand the opinions of others in order to incorporate it into strategies.
  • You have ambition and humility. You don\'t accept the status quo simply because "it\'s what we\'ve always done." You push for better, newer, and more innovative ways to do things\xe2\x80\x94all while staying humble.
  • You excel in identifying actionable insights. You understand the importance of and have experience making data-driven decisions.
  • You have a customer centric mindset.
  • You have the ability to be adaptable and deal with ambiguity and changing (and growing) priorities, with an eye for prioritization.
  • You have advanced written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and are comfortable presenting work to various stakeholders and audiences.
  • You have excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience working with Google Gsuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) is an asset
  • Experience working with analytics and reporting dashboards to uncover marketing insights
