• This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

Reporting to the Leader of Innovation Strategy, you will work closely with various stakeholders within the Innovation organization and across functional teams. Your role involves integrating insights from multiple sources to develop and execute comprehensive strategic initiatives. You will facilitate the adoption of emerging technologies and strengthen the organization\'s competitive position, ensuring all efforts are aligned and effectively advance the company\'s innovation goals. Through these collaborations, you will ensure that all strategic efforts are cohesive, well-informed, and geared towards maximizing the impact and efficiency of NOVA Chemical\'s innovation endeavors.The ideal candidate for this position is a strategic thinker with a robust background in business analysis, outstanding communication capabilities and a keen understanding of emerging technologies and market trends.You Will Use Your Expertise To:

• Build and refine strategic roadmaps in collaboration with technical teams and Innovation Leadership Team, synthesizing insights from internal stakeholders to align with the organization\'s long-term innovation goals.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of industry dynamics and business intelligence, leveraging this data to inform strategic decisions and innovation initiatives.
• Lead strategy sessions, driving the agenda and ensuring productive outcomes in collaboration with Innovation leadership and the technical community.
• Lead the design and execution of comprehensive financial analyses to validate and support business cases for internal and external innovation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and financial goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies, using this knowledge to proactively recommend strategic adjustments and opportunities for innovation.
• Collaborate with the Innovation Leadership Team in assessing the intellectual property landscape and developing communication strategies for presenting to senior management.
• Research and analyze government policies, regulations, and funding opportunities relevant to innovation projects, synthesizing this information into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Develop and implement robust communication strategies, facilitating effective information flow to senior management and across functional teams.
• Work with internal partners to perform initial evaluations and prepare materials for strategic discussions and decision-making.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor\'s degree in a related field with 10+ years of related experience in innovation management, strategy, consulting, or a related field, demonstrating a track record of impactful project leadership and strategic influence.
• MBA is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of industry trends and technical advancements for Polyethylene and Olefin business, sustainability, circularity for plastics, and decarbonization.
• Strong research skills with the ability to analyze and interpret governmental and regulatory documents, identifying potential impacts and opportunities for the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex strategies to diverse audiences and effectively leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop compelling business cases and conduct sophisticated data analyses.
• Experience with intellectual property assessment and strategic communication preferred.
• Proactive, results-oriented, with a strong capability to anticipate challenges and drive projects to successful completion.
• Exceptional organizational skills, adept at managing multiple concurrent projects and prioritizing effectively under tight deadlines.
