DMM Energy requires a Manager of Finance in Winnipeg, MB. The Manager of Finance reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and contributes to the overall success of the company by effectively managing all financial tasks. Working Relationships:

  • Reports directly to the CFO for financial duties.
  • Oversees the Accounts Payable Clerk, Account Analyst and Logistics Coordinators for their financial duties.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Will include, but not be limited to the following: Financial planning and management
  • Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and review.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and help to manage cash flow.
  • Maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and payroll.
  • Monthly fuel tax and sales tax preparation required for company.
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
  • Recognize patterns in company spending and revenue and recommend solutions to any areas of concern.
  • Ensure proper policies and procedures are followed to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure.
  • Oversee accounting staff and provide guidance when required.
  • Help to develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support in the development of annual budgeting and forecasting.
  • Participation in weekly inventory reviews, support in the inventory reconciliation process.
May be assigned other duties and any duties are subject to change according to the needs of the company. Education, Qualifications and Skills
  • Must possess CPA designation.
  • A minimum of two (2) years\' experience in Financial Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills that promote mutually beneficial, respectful and professional relationships.
  • Ability to write concise reports to various audiences.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new software.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
