Oliver & Bonacini Events is looking for an experienced and proven sales professional to join our growing team!

The Event Sales Manager Role at O&B is a unique combination of sales and people management. The Event Sales Manager is responsible for managing the health of their assigned business units. From a financial side, this means constantly looking forward and planning to ensure each year supersedes the last. From a people side, ensuring that individuals are trained, performing well, happy in their role and developing their skills. The event sales manager is part of the department leadership team and plays a vital role in establishing the direction of the business and being a positive force in moving our initiatives forward through all members of the team.



PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

\xc2\xb7 Support, coach, and lead a team of Event Specialists to ensure individual and team goals are met

\xc2\xb7 Execute an aggressive sales strategy for existing clients and annual sales goals through strategic planning

\xc2\xb7 Manage large client accounts to grow their business & ensure repeat sales

\xc2\xb7 Act as a liaison between event specialists and operating departments

\xc2\xb7 Execute forecasting and planning using the company\'s tools and methodologies

\xc2\xb7 Monitor guest reactions while in house to find opportunities to exceed expectations and handle any guest complaints ensuring 100% guest satisfaction

\xc2\xb7 Seek new business opportunities for the unit & department focusing on prospects & cold calling

\xc2\xb7 Actively spends time connecting with a wide network of clients , and uses this network to expand the business across O&B nationally

\xc2\xb7 Can effectively communicate the vision of the business unit to the team, rallying efforts of all members and achieving results

\xc2\xb7 Is fanatical about continuous improvement and is creative and proactive in overcoming the challenges within their units

\xc2\xb7 Can put together all facets of our business from the ground up, including all marketing, systems, hiring & training and business development

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position brings three to five years of event sales experience along with a proven ability to grown sales and lead a team of event planning professionals.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to lead and motivate a team while continually exceed sales goals

\xc2\xb7 Ability to coach on selling to maximize revenue

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work without direct supervision

\xc2\xb7 Exhibits sound financial acumen

\xc2\xb7 College or University graduate preferably in a hospitality related program

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of menu development, menu/event planning

\xc2\xb7 Able to effectively and efficiently meet deadlines

\xc2\xb7 Has a large client database and can utilize relationships to expand the O&B business

\xc2\xb7 Ability to think creatively & critically in making daily business decisions
