Reporting to the Senior Manager, E-Commerce Platforms, the Manager, DtC (Direct to Consumer) Digital Analytics is responsible for Interpreting analytic driven insights and recommending approaches that are relative to improve the user experience. Measuring digital program performance, sharing impacts of digital products, campaigns, and customer experiences for the Samsung Canada business. The incumbent will build out new digital reporting designs (KPIs, data, format, channels, processes, etc.), conducts in-depth analysis to support the Senior Executive team and digital teams across the organization. The position is fundamental in supporting the execution of digital strategy across the enterprise, as well as assisting in building the omni-channel view of the customer.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Measure and forecast the impact of digital engagement and product experience initiatives on the Canadian business.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive business insights, strategy and optimization opportunities that will generate quantitative information and insights capable of producing revenue, performance improvements, and evolve digital strategies.
  • Create and deliver targeted stakeholder presentations, dashboards, and data visualizations that surface key observations, learnings, and recommendations
  • Digital data handling and management for main digital properties.
  • Query, extract and transform raw data with ETL Operations from multiple data warehouses to conduct key insight and in-depth analysis of customer, website and digital products.
  • Oversee dashboards for digital product and customer insights teams to translate complex data into actionable insight.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects that leverage multiple sources of data such as inventory, cost, web analytics, loyalty amongst several other data sources.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders to influence decision making with data.
  • Design, implement and maintain web analytics solutions/products; oversee implementation of web analytics projects.
  • Provide automated hourly forecasting dashboards to leadership team.
  • Post Mortems and Analysis of key marketing events, Campaign experience journey, impact of store fill changes, promo code and free ship offers.
  • Track and share insights for web metrics analytics (visitors, bounce rate, Page views, session duration, Top traffic source, Interactions per visits, device source, Exit)
  • Improve quantitative and qualitative analytics capture capabilities via new tools or processes.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, engineering or related quantitative fields preferred; or equivalent experience in the retail/consumer electronics industry.
Knowledge:
  • Expert in Excel (VBA scripting, Macro, Pivots, Data Source Management are an asset but not mandatory) and PowerPoint with proficiency in Online Analytical Processing, (ie. experience in Tableau or Power BI is an asset)
  • Must be proficient with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google search console or equivalent.
  • Experience with competitive benchmarking tools such as Gartner, Similarweb or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to comprehend user flow, define custom metrics to develop key hypothesis to identify opportunities.
  • Possess exceptional organizational & planning skills and attention to detail while having sense of curiosity & urgency.
  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in the organization: from support staff to senior executives within and outside of the company.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and work with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM, Digital Advertising, Ecommerce business metrics is an asset.
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms and Ecommerce web sites.
  • Demonstrated people management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong with agile process management including the development of new processes.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and use good judgment.
  • Works well under pressure and can manage multiple tasks under time constraints. Sense of urgency in managing projects and likes fast paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
Experience:
  • 5-7 years of hands on experience using search engine marketing (Google Ads), website analytics platforms (Google Analytics and other measurement suite products), and brand analysis techniques (upper funnel analysis).
  • Overseeing the tagging and analytics framework, and a variety of analysis and insight initiatives.
  • Experience translating data insights into business insights - working with both business and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical background, and experience with marketing analytics, financial modeling, or statistical analysis, Hypothesis using statistical models/frameworks.
  • Experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data, or with other programming/scripting languages (R, Python, C++).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Advanced level proficiency with modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, Javascript, with detailed knowledge of browser dependencies and cross-platform issues.
  • Experience in consumer electronics would be an asset.
