Department Overview

Reports to: Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Audience Strategy

The successful candidate will be a key part of TD\'s Marketing department. The North American Digital Marketing and Personalization team is responsible for leading our digital marketing transformation. This team is a dynamic, innovative team that is a part of the central marketing function within TD Bank Financial Group.
As Manager on the Digital Advertising Audience Strategy team you will be a part of a group dedicated to enabling capabilities that support digital marketing performance (online and offline). This team enables marketing excellence and informed decision making through applying a deep understanding of data to predict, optimize, execute, and measure the impact of marketing spend.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics
  • A degree in science, engineering, business, or other quantitative discipline
  • Proven track record of leading teams in always-on environment and demonstrating exceptional and measurable performance results
  • Proven people management skills, with a strong ability to effectively lead diverse teams and build bench strength, through training, coaching, and people development
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills, with ability to obtain consensus among multiple stakeholders
  • Self-sufficient: ability to thrive in a constantly changing and ambiguous environment, requiring regular re-evaluation of priorities and strategies
  • Financial services experience is an asset, especially related to digital marketing analytics
  • Experience in SQL is a must; should be experienced in query authoring and have knowledge of concepts such as stored procedures, common table expressions, data validation, etc.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation using SAS, Python, or PySpark is an asset
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills including the ability to leverage data to find solutions that address complex business problems
  • Experience with Analytical platforms: Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Web Analytics, CRM, or Enterprise Data Warehouses
  • Experience in data visualization (e.g. Tableau, DOMO, Google Data Studio)
  • A broad understanding of digital marketing data, analytical tools and methods and knowledge of where analytics may add value to marketing and/or business
  • A passion for analytics, high comfort level and interest in interpreting data and results; ability to tell stories with data and facts
  • An overall dedication to producing high quality work and desire to continuously learn, develop and do better
  • Working experience with Agile ceremonies and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Sprint Planning, etc.)
  • Working experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence)

  • Manage, lead, and develop a team of analysts to leverage marketing database solutions and delivery, and digital audience targeting implementation across platforms.
  • Work in a consultative role and effectively communicate value-added insights in the form of analysis, interpretation, and advice
  • Manage data infrastructure and data acquisition roadmap for paid and owned digital media
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance data quality and measurement to enable a complete view of digital marketing performance
  • Leverage knowledge of data capabilities to develop and deliver customer insights
  • Tell a story with data including exploratory data analysis and data quality validation
  • Stay knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and technology and assess potential impacts to the Bank
