Job Description


The Associate Director, under the direction of Director, PSS oversees, at a strategic level, two or more pharmaceutical program managers responsible for different clients The Pharmaceutical Portfolio Manager, in keeping with the organizational structure of the Patient Support Services division, assumes overall responsibility for specific operations relating to their clients along with the Program Manager, the implementation of contractual agreements specific to the delivery of client service on a specific drug therapy and/or other related projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Portfolio Management:

\xc2\xb7 Supports the business growth of BSRx with a focus on customer growth

\xc2\xb7 Uses exceptional customer service and negotiation skills to cultivate a partnership with the pharmaceutical program managers and clients based on integrity and trust

\xc2\xb7 Supports Program Managers in their day to day operations and the formulation of program specific objectives and goals

\xc2\xb7 Supports the procurement, implementation, launch and development of revenue generating programs

\xc2\xb7 Successfully negotiates, executes, statements of work, service level agreements, and contract amendments

\xc2\xb7 Actively seeks and includes client feedback and perspective in program outcomes and process improvements.

\xc2\xb7 Communicates program updates (including competitive intelligence and strategic insight) on an ongoing basis with the director.

\xc2\xb7 Develops recommendations for program improvements based on best practice and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.

\xc2\xb7 Develops cases and proposals that deliver prompt, cost effective, safe solutions to the client and Bayshore.

\xc2\xb7 Consistently and proactively shares strategic market insight with Pharmaceutical customer

\xc2\xb7 Leads strategic projects as assigned.

\xc2\xb7 Attends client meetings in person as needed. Works towards building strong ties with clients

\xc2\xb7 Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information at all times

\xc2\xb7 Serves as strategic primary point of contact for internal/external stakeholders and partners to address and ensure resolution of issues in a timely manner

Operations:

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate strong leadership and delegate effectively to meet organizational and program objectives

\xc2\xb7 Oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPI), customer satisfaction and other performance metrics in accordance to the Master Services Agreement and Statements of Work to ensure client expectations are met and maintained.

\xc2\xb7 Manages internal and external audits in conjunction with the Quality Team

\xc2\xb7 Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the internal team in developing and implementing programs.

\xc2\xb7 Support the Business Development Team with preparing for and executing RFPs

\xc2\xb7 In conjunction with the Implementation Team, manage the development and launch of new programs.

\xc2\xb7 Identify opportunities to optimize operational efficiency and lead process improvement strategies in collaboration with Program Manager.

\xc2\xb7 Lead and facilitate strategic planning for future endeavors.

\xc2\xb7 Provide clear objectives and holds the program management team accountable for meeting collective goals.

\xc2\xb7 Oversee/manage partner vendor contracts and related billing in collaboration with the PM.

\xc2\xb7 Ensures that PM is accurately capturing monthly program billing items.

\xc2\xb7 Manage budgets, forecasts and analyze variances.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the financial management of their Portfolio and hold P&L responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 In conjunction with the Pharmacovigilance Dept., ensures Program Manager is conducting scheduled Quality Assurance activities: chart audits, call audits, Adverse Event reporting.

\xc2\xb7 In conjunction with the Pharmacovigilance Dept., ensures contractual obligation of reporting of Adverse Events is within expected timeframe.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with the Program Manager in Development and/or revision of policies and procedures

\xc2\xb7 Guides and monitors technological updates and CRM upgrades in collaboration with the Program Manager.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to identify and report AE\xe2\x80\x99s to health Canada, Med Info and enter into source system and third party systems.

Human Resources:

\xc2\xb7 Plays a key role in supporting PSS team leadership and development

\xc2\xb7 Coordinates recruitment, orientation, training, disciplinary perform reviews, coaching, workload planning, retention initiatives and retention initiatives with human resources

\xc2\xb7 Recruit and hire program management team (Program Manager and other roles as needed as indicated in the SOW

\xc2\xb7 Lead, coach, and mentor Program Manager; managing their performance towards meeting organizational, program, team and individual objectives.

\xc2\xb7 Supports departmental succession planning and works towards growing the next generation of Bayshore leaders and high performers

\xc2\xb7 Manages program specific employees to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and adhere to government, company and ISO 9001-2000 standards

\xc2\xb7 Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns. Responsible for completing Accident Reports for all direct reports who injure themselves on the job, within 24 hours of the incident.

\xc2\xb7 Leads or assist with the implementation of Modified Work Programs for employees

\xc2\xb7 Develop and delivers employee training: Including, but not limited to clinical and reimbursement programs

\xc2\xb7 Complete other tasks as requested

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Report directly to the Director, Patient Support Services

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of Registered Nursing Program or of any other Registered Health Care field holding current registration with regulatory college

OR

Business graduate discipline in any field (College diploma, Undergraduate, Graduate)

Experience

\xc2\xb7 At least five years of progressive responsibility with recent experience in pharmaceutical program management.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to interpret and integrate policies and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Solid track record in conducting adult education initiatives and proven track record as a program project manager.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrates time management skills as well as an ability to evaluate urgent situations and make appropriate decisions.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communicator.

\xc2\xb7 Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and willingness to undertake out-of-town travel as required.

\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of French language is an asset.
