SSR Mining \xe2\x80\x93 Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Maintenance Planner.
About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance Planning, the Maintenance Planner, will be responsible for developing and communicating the construction and operational plans within the maintenance planning department. You will be responsible for developing and implementing work plan schedules, priorities and administrative procedures including monitoring and controlling the flow of information and budgetary aspects for work teams and small to large construction projects. You will also be responsible to monitor projects and work progress, analyze problems, gather information, and make recommendations on alternative solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for department activities.
Provide, analysis and interpretation of KPI trends and variances.
Progresses approved planning type work notifications into the work order state for planned work.
Performs job walk downs, risk evaluations, develop task sequencing, capture pertinent details, understand resource and material requirements and build these details into the associated work orders.
Create and maintain preventive maintenance work packages.
Procure, track, kit and staging of material for upcoming maintenance work.
Interpret mid to long term plans and translate to a day-to-day schedule to meet those plans.
Assist with procedure and documentation related to SOPs and Job Plans.
Ensure all departmental equipment has proper inspections, registrations, and additional requirements are satisfied as per SSR policies and government regulations.
Recommend ongoing continuous improvements in work planning, project management and scheduling practices.
Participate and/or lead meetings as required.
Monitor and report on progress of work schedules, plans, and projects on a continuous basis.
Other related duties as assigned.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and heavy equipment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership/management experience.
Working knowledge of engineering, contracts & procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, health & safety, environment & community and risk multi-discipline workflows and interactions for large capital projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including functional managers and discipline leads on the project, clients, outside vendors and contractors.
Ability to identify problems and implement solutions.
Excellent project management, time management and analytical skills.
Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to organize and coordinate several diverse assignments among internal stakeholders and contractors.
Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, as required by the position.
Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among all employees.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative in a results-oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize of both long and short-term planning.
High attention to detail, motivation, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Your Education and Experience:
A recognized qualification or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Technical diploma or Interprovincial trade certification.
Minimum three (3) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working as a planner.
CMMS Software experience a must with preference to SAP.
About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 12-hour days with the possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
