Responsibilities and Duties
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who install, repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
Implement and coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to balance plant & equipment availability with overall costs.
Requisition materials and supplies.
Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
Train or arrange for training of workers.
Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed.
Prepare work progress reports.
Maintain records including plant process diagrams, site engineering drawings, and maintenance records.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 5 years of maintenance work experience, in a
management role
, is required.
Completion of secondary school is required.
PLC troubleshooting experience is an asset.
Millwright certification is required.
Completion of a diploma/degree in mechanical/electrical engineering technology would be an asset.
Advanced interpersonal & communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and think strategically.
