Our client, a well-established organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Position Summary


The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The selected candidate will ensure optimal equipment performance, provide strong leadership to the maintenance team, and support operational excellence by driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, working closely with the Maintenance Assistant, Planner, and Parts Coordinator to ensure efficient execution of tasks. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Oversee the implementation, use, and optimization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to improve planning, scheduling, and reporting. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and performance management to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize maintenance processes. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess maintenance performance. Oversee facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems. Manage maintenance budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources. Coordinate external contractors and vendors for specialized work and repairs. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Manage spare parts inventory and maintain strong inventory control to minimize downtime. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and equipment to support operational improvements. Collaborate with Engineering and Leadership teams on capital projects and facility upgrades. Support annual capital planning and budgeting processes. Promote a positive, collaborative team environment through regular communication, development opportunities, and recognition initiatives.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to develop and optimize maintenance programs and systems. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM. Proficiency with CMMS software and maintenance performance metrics. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Solid understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
