Maintenance Manager

Position Summary
The
Maintenance Manager
will oversee all maintenance operations within a dynamic manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, providing strong leadership to the maintenance team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, working closely with the Maintenance Assistant, Planner, and Parts Coordinator to ensure efficient operations.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs aimed at improving equipment reliability and minimizing unplanned downtime.
Oversee the implementation and continuous optimization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance planning, scheduling, and reporting capabilities.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and performance management to promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
Identify and execute opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize maintenance processes.
Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance effectiveness.
Oversee facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
Manage maintenance budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.
Coordinate external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
Ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Manage spare parts inventory and maintain efficient inventory control systems to reduce downtime.
Assess and recommend new technologies, tools, and equipment to support operational improvement.
Collaborate with Engineering and Leadership teams on capital projects and facility enhancements.
Contribute to annual capital planning and budgeting processes.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and development-oriented team culture through regular communication and recognition initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success in developing and optimizing maintenance programs and systems.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM.
Proficiency with CMMS software and maintenance performance metrics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
