Maintenance Manager
to join their team on a permanent basis.
Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within a dynamic manufacturing facility. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, effective team leadership, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes to drive operational excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, collaborating closely with the Maintenance Assistant, Planner, and Parts Coordinator to ensure seamless operations.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
Champion the implementation and ongoing optimization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to improve planning, tracking, and reporting efficiency.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Provide strong leadership, coaching, and performance management to foster a high-performing, accountable, and safety-driven team culture.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize maintenance processes.
Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional departments.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance maintenance effectiveness.
Oversee facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
Manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost control and effective resource utilization.
Coordinate external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance work.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
Manage spare parts inventory and implement effective inventory control systems to minimize downtime.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and equipment to enhance maintenance operations.
Partner with Engineering and Leadership teams on capital improvement and facility enhancement projects.
Contribute to annual capital planning and budgeting processes.
Build and maintain a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture through regular communication, recognition, and professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in developing and optimizing maintenance systems and processes.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM).
Proficiency with CMMS software and maintenance performance analytics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
