Tasks

Direct and control construction projects Evaluate the operations of facilities and the included real estate Plan and organize the operations of the facilities and the included real estate Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies Work with minimal supervision Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment Perform safety and security checks Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs Empty trash cans and other waste containers Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair Perform minor repairs on appliances Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
