Job Description

The maintenance manager is responsible to ensure all guests and employees have a secure, comfortable environment, to maintain hotel assets through ongoing preventive maintenance programs and to ensure all building systems are operational by working hands-on and coordinating department resources.

to ensure the smooth operation of the physical plant; electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and plumbing,

the coordination and performance of general repairs and preventive maintenance of the building,

to ensure guest satisfaction by implementing strategies to improve satisfaction score and guests' willingness to return,

to implement/maintain recycling and energy conservation program and loss prevention initiatives,

to chair the Occupational Health and Safety Committee,

to utilize all aspects of leadership including recruitment, training, performance planning and review, motivation, development and employee satisfaction,

to conduct the safety and security training for all hotel employees.

Qualifications:

A minimum of one (1) trade designation; plumber, refrigeration, carpenter or electrician.

2+ years of management/supervisory experience. Intermediate computer skills; email, spreadsheets, word documents, SharePoint and web research.

* Previous experience as a trainer is considered an asset.
