About the Role



We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our food manufacturing operations. This leadership role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for mentoring others while driving operational excellence.

What You'll Do



Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Maintenance Technicians across rotating shifts, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Develop and execute strategic maintenance plans aligned with production goals and regulatory standards Oversee all maintenance activities for packaging and processing equipment (conveyors, fillers, roasters, x-ray machines), buildings and grounds as required Implement and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life Conduct performance evaluations, set team objectives, and identify training needs to build technical capabilities Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources and spare parts inventory Coordinate emergency repairs and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurrence Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards Ensure all maintenance activities meet internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including PPE protocols and the company's Code of Conduct Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing maintenance KPIs and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and oversee third-party maintenance work Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility expansions with technical input and project coordination Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, audits, and compliance reports

What You Bring



A degree in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, engineering, or a related field, or a valid Millwright or Electrician ticket, is required. 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience in food manufacturing or packaging, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role Proven leadership skills with experience in team development, performance management, and conflict resolution Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, sensors, motors, and automation technologies Ability to lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions across cross-functional teams Skilled in interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and equipment manuals Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards including GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and long-term asset reliability Comfortable managing vendor relationships, negotiating service contracts, and overseeing third-party maintenance work High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
