Reports To The Maintenance Electrician will report to the Weekend Shift Maintenance Supervisor Job Overview The Maintenance Electrician tasks include but are not restricted to, Electrical Preventive Maintenance activities, production line downtime support, electrical systems operation and repair and special projects as required. The role is best suited for an individual that is both independently driven and a team player. Responsibilities and Duties

• Effectively monitor production equipment as required while adhering to the SPS Reliability Program and CMMS system requirements.
• To safely carry out equipment LOTO for conducting preventive maintenance tasks as it pertains to the SPS electrical systems.
• Able to learn and investigate electrical equipment functions and process requirements for process improvement, information integrity, PLC Program security, HMI interface and sub systems.
• Able to navigate electrical drawings for accuracy, amendments and validation for current status.
• Able to safely validate equipment functionality after completed weekend PM activities for weekly production startup.
• Assist in the start-up of equipment during the beginning and throughout the production shift as required (Cross Functional Training/Back Up for Shift A & B)
• Assist in machine mode changes during machine operation (Cross Functional Training/Back Up for Shift A & B)
• Respond to machine downtime faults and recover as required. (Cross Functional Training/Back Up for Shift A & B)
• Contribute with fellow Electricians, Millwrights and Associates in process, C.I., 5S, Six Sigma, etc. improvements projects.
• Investigate emergency breakdown work under FMEA corrective and preventative measures as required.
• Adhere to Work Order Schedule as defined by the Reliability Planner as required for effective KPI Data and OEE Performance
• Effectively participate in Safety and Technical Training as required towards short term and long term personal and business growth goals and objectives.
• As a SPS Associate, to follow, participate, and make recommendations regarding safety, environmental performance, quality, productivity, and customer feedback.

Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Requires a 309A or 442A Licence. \xc2\xb7 Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to navigate and understand electrical schematic drawings. \xc2\xb7 Mathematical skills \xc2\xb7 Electrical and mechanical aptitude \xc2\xb7 PLC & Electrical Controls Experience \xc2\xb7 HMI and or GOT experience and asset. \xc2\xb7 Mitsubishi Automation background an asset \xc2\xb7 Experience with multiple hand/power tools \xc2\xb7 Machine operator aptitude and experience an asset. \xc2\xb7 Basic Computer skills required. \xc2\xb7 Able to lift 50 lbs. \xc2\xb7 Able to negotiate different areas of the plant, including climbing stairs and ladders, and moving around barriers. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels within the organization. \xc2\xb7 Willing to work 4 x 10hrs Shift (6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) (Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday) Open for discussion/review based on work life balance needs/requirements.
