This is an exciting opportunity to join JLL at a brand new, state of the art processing plant in Scarborough. This facility is equipped with the most sophisticated technology and in the most environmentally friendly, green building, It will have the highest processing capacity in Canada.

The Maintenance Electrician, is part of a team of Building Operators that operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment on all systems and will be primarily focused on electrical equipment and systems. The team works closely with the client and provides exceptional customer service.

This role will be scheduled Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm and on call as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a skilled tradesman (Electrician) you will focus on building operations, reactive and preventive maintenance, small project execution, energy management, and client satisfaction
• Perform maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance and technical proficiency
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies and develop sources for stock materials related to maintaining the facility
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintenance of the equipment will include cleaning, inspecting, calibrating and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with regard to quality and competitive pricing
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare and submit purchase order requests
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform additional job duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma, with two years of trades schooling in electrical.
• Certification as an Electrician (309A) is required
• Ideally, 3+ years of experience as a Building Operator
• Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
• The individual in this role must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.
