The Community Housing Management Network

provides financial and property management services to co-operatives and non-profit housing providers.

The Community Housing Management Network (The Network) is recruiting to fill a full-time position (35 hours/week) as Maintenance Administrator. The candidate will be working at a Halifax office. Some travel to clients' sites required.

General duties include:



Work Order administration for over 350 units

Liaise with trades, clients and other personnel

Monitor work in progress

Execution and records keeping of the scheduled building maintenance

Assist the Maintenance Coordinator with preventive maintenance planning

Keep the Housing Coordinator informed of the status of all work orders in a system as directed by Maintenance Co-ordinator

Perform unit inspections at the request of Network clients, using the Network licensed inspection software

General requirements:



Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and maintain facilities knowledge of co-op or nonprofit housing

Ability to work in a team and desire to help others

Knowledge of the Windows Office programs Outlook, Excel and Word

Excellent time management skills to complete a variety of tasks

Ability to interpret maintenance instructions, manuals, safety rules, and other documents

Reliable vehicle
