Warehouse Logistics Manager (Manufacturing)

Pay: $75,000 to $85,000 yearly

Location: Mississauga, ON

Full benefits including medical, dental and vision and pension plan
3 weeks\' vacation

Must have manufacturing and logistics experience
Operated a forklift in the past
Excellent communicator and business acumen
Strong people management skills
Someone that holds their employees accountable and follow through with it. Sets out clear expectations
Must understand how manufacturing and logistics operate
Education in logistics/supply chain an asset
Wants growth
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Union experience an asset

MISSION / SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Logistic Manager supervises and coordinates the day-to-day shift activities of the Shipping and Receiving Department, by providing leadership and supervision to Shipping and Receiving employees.
This individual serves as a link between plant and Customer Advocate Representatives and partner carriers as well as the link between direct reports and middle / upper management. They understand and align business
operations and Logistics as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

• Leadership Skills - ability to motivate people to perform at high levels
• Previous supervisory experience in unionized environments preferred
• Computer Skills: SAP, MS Office, and database programs
• On call scheduling resource outside normal work hours
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Self-starter
• Organized

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

• General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
