Job Description

Position: Warehouse Manager
Location: Lachine

In this role, you will be overseeing a team of five employees in warehouse operations with a focus on shipping / receiving logistics and inventory management in addition to managing four forklift driver warehouse associates.

Responsibilities:

- Supervising daily warehouse activities in shipping and receiving
- Ensuring quality control always done on incoming and outgoing shipments
- Overseeing inventory control respecting min / max and stock adjustments with daily cycle counting
- Performing inventory management, location, quantities, replenishment schedules
- Assigning personnel to either receiving or shipping according to daily workload
- Solving ERP issues related to receiving or shipping (goods receipts, pick and pack, deliveries, transfers)
- Optimizing floor space for inventory and product placement
- Supporting customers at the counter (pick-ups, coordinate with customer service and tech support)
- Utilizing and maintaining Warehouse management systems
- Participating in purchasing, expediting, logistics and freight projects
- Implementing best practices for health and safety, inventory optimization, work flow, production, etc.
- Executing other tasks related to overseeing warehouse operations

Qualifications:

- At least 2-5 years of experience in a warehouse within a leadership position overseeing a team
- Experience in working with WMS and ERP systems
- Experience in Inventory and logistics is considered a strong asset
- Strong communication skills
- Hands-on with good leadership skills to oversee and ensure for smooth operations
