Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator

Job Description


As part of the Grissin Bon Operations Team, the Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator will maintain inventory volumes for the manufacturing plant based on vendor lead times and availability while ensuring production has all raw material and packaging requirements intended for daily production.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scheduling production activities including forecasting the demand of finished products to guide production priorities to meet customer needs and trends
  • Determine inventory levels and usage pattern, review, and report on service levels of demand planning (Fill Rate)
  • Coordinate with plant operations team to ensure production schedule adherence and reporting in ERP is accurate and oversee the implementation of the warehouse management system
  • Daily touch points with production Supervisors/Lead Hands on production output to achieving daily targets, monitor and report on inventory levels and status of raw materials, manufacturing components and finished goods
  • Working with carrier services, monitor freight rates on a continual basis in efforts to reduce freight costs, carry out all daily shipping activities, including but not limited to, shipments to vendors, transfers between warehouses and customer orders, while ensuring shipment accuracy and desired shipment method have been utilized
  • Verify with Shipping/Receiving pallets being delivered are using correct Pallet ID, Lot and Item Code and communicating unforeseen changes due to customer requests
  • Receives and stocks materials and products from suppliers, reconciles purchase orders with receiving, responsible for administrative duties as it relates labelling and documentation, as well as customs related paperwork
  • Follows BRC, GMP procedures for the plant to meet company and regulatory standards
  • Attends all Food and Health & Safety training meetings as required
  • Attends to duties and projects as assigned
Job Specifications-Skills and Competencies:
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years\' experience with inventory management in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Experience within food & beverage, and/or consumer packaged goods industry highly preferred
  • Experience in stock management, production models and planning techniques
  • Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, strong focus on customer service
  • Strong leadership, demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Sense of urgency, attention to detail and ownership in quality of work
  • Work/Food Safety focus and deliver results to support production process
  • Well versed in MS Office suite to meet the technical requirements for this role
  • Able to work overtime shifts to support a growing operation as required D. Education and Training
  • Post-Secondary education in a Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience is an asset
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, certification to operate a forklift an asset

  • The employee may be required to climb ladders and access/work on work platforms
  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
