Position Summary





We are looking for a

"Logistics Assistant"

to join our team to support daily logistics operations, including dispatch coordination, driver paperwork management, order processing, invoicing, and dispatch coverage. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, yards, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities




Logistics Support + Provide accurate and timely information to support daily operations.
+ Train on Autostrada dispatch functions, including:
- Using Tread Software
- Coordinating trucking needs across multiple yards
- Dispatching trailers, triaxles, and slinger trucks
- Provide dispatch coverage and assistance as needed

Driver Paperwork Management


+ Collect all Strada Aggregates driver paperwork daily, including log sheets and tickets. + Review all documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
+ Immediately report any truck-related issues noted in daily reports to the Logistics Manager.
+ Collect maintenance and mechanical invoices/bills and file them in the appropriate binders.
+ Maintain daily tracking for Strada-owned trucks, including hours worked and revenue generated.

Dispatch Duties


+ Dispatch operations for Stallion Soils, including: - Taking customer orders
- Coordinating truck requirements
- Communicating with outside suppliers
- Ticketing trucks and sending ticket copies to customers
- After-hours support when required

Billing and Invoicing


+ Prepare and issue customer invoices + Ensure billing accuracy and timely submission.







Key Competencies





1-3 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or administrative support preferred. Experience with trucking operations or aggregate/construction industries considered an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Ability to learn and use dispatching software such as Tread and other internal systems. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Professional customer service skills for interacting with drivers, yard staff, customers, and vendors. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and data entry. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet daily deadlines. Ability to identify issues in driver reports and escalate appropriately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliability and willingness to provide coverage across multiple dispatch functions when needed.



Education and Experience




High school diploma required Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is an asset.



Working Conditions




Typical office hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm Insignificant physical effort. Requires a moderate amount of sitting for prolonged periods of time while using the computer. Requires moderate exposure to environmental conditions.
