Trouw Nutrition is looking for a Logistics Assistant to join our team in St.Marys, ON.

The logistics assistant manages and optimizes delivery routes and schedules and addresses logistics issues and requests daily.

About The Role: Providing exceptional logistical support and solutions coordination.

Responsibilities:

Review schedule requisitions, contents of truck, running times, distances, availability and other pertinent information to establish schedule parameters Design new or modify existing schedules using computer software or other methods Incorporate factors such as peak travel periods, holidays, special events, and construction into the route plan, with emphasis on time and cost efficiency Assign personnel to equipment and routes and schedule work shifts Compile equipment records, including hours in service, distances, maintenance, repairs required and other data, to produce operating reports Compile detailed worksheets and specifications from customer's order Coordinate with the production team to ensure alignment and efficiency

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent Experience with MS Office suite is a must Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment Exceptional customer service skills Ability to work under pressure ERP experience and Feed industry experience is an asset

Expectation from the Role:

Ability to Identify opportunities for improvement Exceptional attention to detail Positive work ethic and attitude Willingness and ability to learn Strong team and interpersonal skills Self-motivated - able to work independently with minimal supervision

Working every other Saturday and a shift on-call is a must
