As a Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to distribution, trade compliance, and customer service functions including preparation of documentation, scheduling of freight carriers, preparing of shipping reports, resolving material supply issues, and communicating schedule changes. You will maintain and update records of materials, customer requests, and distribution. You will be responsible to obtain freight quotes and ensures shipments are classified appropriately. You will use shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). You will be detailed-oriented and have a passion for problem-solving. Knowledge of ERP software is an asset; however, proficiency in Microsoft Office is important. The ideal candidate will have 3-years of related experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $45,000 - $50,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
